Collection: Highland Cow

Meet the herd.

There's no such thing as one Highland cow gift. There's the plush one that gets carried everywhere until its fringe goes flat, the socks that get a laugh at seven in the morning, and the mug that quietly becomes the only mug they'll drink from. We stock all three, and about a hundred other things besides.

For the very small

Blade & Rose's Hamish and Bonnie coos have taken over our baby rail: socks from £3.50, plus leggings, rompers, bibs, booties, sunhats and winter hats. Soft, washable, and very hard to walk past.

For the coo-daft grown-up

Angus the Highland Cow is the one we'd take home ourselves. Beyond him there are bamboo socks, enamel pins, keyrings, a hot water bottle with a proper fringe, and slippers you'll struggle to take off again.

For the house

Sass and Belle's shaped mug and little vase do the job without shouting about it. There's a notebook, cards and wrapping paper too, for when the gift needs finishing off properly.

Prices start at £1.25 for wrapping paper and run to around £33.50 for the largest plush, so there's something here whether you're filling a stocking or buying the main event.

Every coo in this collection is hand-picked for our shop on King Street in Stirling. If you're nearby, come and say hello. If you're not, we post across the UK, and delivery is free over £50.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a Highland cow and a hairy coo?
Nothing at all. "Hairy coo" is just what we call them up here, and we think it's the better name.

What's a good Highland cow gift for a baby?
Blade & Rose's Hamish and Bonnie range is made for it, and socks at £3.50 make a good small addition to a bigger present.

Can you post Highland cow gifts outside Scotland?
We can, right across the UK, and free on orders over £50. For more ideas, see our guide to the best Scottish gifts to send anywhere in the UK.
